I am happy to announce that I completed one un-assisted pull up last night!! A PR for me . Best of luck to Caleb this weekend! See you all next week-I will be out of town for work until Thursday but will be keeping up with you guys through some of the travel WODs.
Great blog, Caleb. Thanks for sharing! Definitely helpful, but I am noticing tightness and cramping in the arch of foot (only the left side), any idea why that is or what I can do to help it?
Sounds like plantar fasciitis Stacy, you can google some remedies for it. In the past when I have had it the best things I found were ice baths and taking a paper dixie cup freezing some water in it, then tear the cup off and use it for ice massage in circular motions. The most common spot to have symptons is in the heal, and lets face it all the emphasis Caleb has been making for us to drive with our heals is pushing our bodies in new directions we commonly don’t use.
Hey are any of you up for Fight Gone Bad on the 25th? We’re planning to begin at 7:00 am. All you need to do is register at FGB5.org for the CrossFit Persevere team. If you want to fundraise and end up raising $150 or more, they send you a rockin’ shirt.
Even a week into Wendler I have seen pretty great results, down here in DC today was able to make it to Primal Fitness. Last week my max dead was 345#, after my 65/75/85 sets today I did my max 5 rep set as per their WOD and was able to hit 335# x 5, pretty happy with the results so far. Great format Caleb, thanks for using it. Going to hit it hard again tomorrow for some team events. I’ll see you all Monday, have a great weekend everyone.
Three weeks after our first CrossFit total, Wendler helped me up my squat 40 lbs. and I put 80 lbs. on my deadlift (no change in my press, I’m still sctratching my head at that one). I felt like a beast. I might be in enough shape to compete with the morning ladies soon (haha…)! A month and a half into XFit, and I’m really enjoying it and working alongside all of you! -Moobs
Great information Caleb~thank you.
Nice work ladies-keep it going strong!
That is good info, thanks for sharing!
Looking forward to meeting some more of the night crew peeps on a Sat or Sun sometime

Hey Stacy, I’ve also had plantar fasciitis, dixie cup thing is great. You can also really dig your thumb into the side of the heel and massage it.
Thanks Ryan and Mel! I will try both.
